HBEF is happy to announce that 110 beneficiaries have benefited from its 2011 secondary school education scholarship awards.
In accordance with the Fund’s criteria to support only those who are academically talented and needy, 110 boys and girls were each awarded 4-Year education scholarships based on their academic performance in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE is a certificate awarded to students after completing the approved eight-year course in primary education in Kenya and the gateway to secondary school). The beneficiaries are enrolled into various National and Provincial Secondary Schools across the country.
The education scholarships are meant to provide the bright but needy children with the necessary resources towards successful completion of their secondary school education. Besides school fees, the beneficiaries will benefit from material, medical, leadership training and psychosocial support.
